At Without Heroes, we don't engage in general fundraising. We carry out our mission with a laser-focused approach - raising funds exclusively for the specific needs of homeless veterans. We never use donations for salaries, office space, or overhead. When we launch a call-to-action, your contribution goes directly towards addressing that specific need. You give, you help a veteran.

Imagine a world without heroes...
Heroes give us hope, determination, and remind us never to give up because the dawn always follows the darkest hour of the night. Heroes are a reflection of the best of us, and without them, life is a bleak picture.
Sadly, that is the reality for many of our real, everyday heroes - our war veterans.
But a hero doesn't have to be a warror. A hero needs no weapon. A hero is, as God said, anyone willing to stand in the gap on behalf of another. That's what we have decided to do. It's our time to be heroes in support of veterans, who we call our heroes, for their military service and personal sacrifice.
If we want to avoid a world without heroes, then ask yourself, "If I am only for myself, what am I? If not now, when?"
Without Heroes, founded by Michael Rentiers, is a newly created nonprofit organization dedicated to direct action - serving homeless veterans in South Carolina. At Without Heroes, our mission is to provide intensive intervention in the lives of homeless veterans, with the goal of achieving lasting stability and peace. Our approach is a call to action. We only ask for money when a specific need exists. If you're looking for a real-world impact, all donations go directly towards stabilizing the lives of homeless veterans.
No office space, no salaries, no printer paper, no waste. Our office is the street and we gladly accept handshakes as paymemt. Your donation impacts real lives.

Dear Friends,
First thing, I hope you've seen the summer donation drive and will
consider donating to shelter veterans form the summer heatwave. It is not hypebole to say that this is an emergency or a life and death situation. The good news is your support goes directly to relief. The bad news is, without it, that relief can't happen. Just know that every dime goes to ease suffering.
So on behalf of the veterans we support - thank you.
I didn't plan for this. But life has a way of taking us on unexpected journeys, and this one began with a simple lunch with a homeless veteran. That encounter sparked an internal debate that boiled down to two well known questions: If I am only for myself, what am I? If not now, then when?
My theory was simple: personal, consistent involvement can create lasting change. I started building friendships with homeless veterans. When comfortable, I had them create action plans with me to reach the goal of lasting stability. Even if I was only impacting only one or two lives at a time, wasn't that a worthy cause?
We appreciate that for some, time and compassion is what you have to give. We have some options below.
